Households in fire-prone or flood-exposed geography have a rational reason to prioritize that feature set. Plan around ~$1,017 street pricing and thin stock, not the old sub-$800 Amazon listing.

Expect about 463 lbs and roughly 29" of width. Delivery is a project. Exact ETL placards vary by SKU and year—read the label on the unit you buy. Floor bolting is required if you want those fire and water ratings to apply as tested. Skip the anchors and you own a heavy box with an unverified seal story.

The LifePod 20 Biometric fits pistols up to 9.25" overall length, uses a weather-resistant sealed polymer shell, and offers biometric, keypad, and key entry. It's light enough to carry. At roughly $210, it's the least expensive way in this roundup to stop treating a defensive handgun like it belongs behind the same timed ritual as a hunting rifle in a bolted steel safe.

There's no fire rating. Polymer lockbox construction isn't bolted residential steel. Batteries and fingerprint enrollment are part of ownership. Use it for travel, lawful vehicle storage, or layered quick access alongside a residential safe—not as the only storage for a multi-rifle household.
